ATU (Aerobic Treatment Units) – AWTS (Aerated Wastewater Treatment Systems)
We service all types of septic systems, domestic, commercial and Industrial, including ATU (Aerobic Treatment Units) & AWTS (Aerated Wastewater Treatment Systems) systems.
Commonly called Biomax, Enviromax, Icon, Taylex etc.
ATU systems, or Aerobic Treatment Units, require frequent servicing by an authorised technician. Numerous things can wrong with these systems and generally your sales company provide you with a technician that services your system. He should notify you when the need for a pumpout is required. Generally these systems need emptying approximately every 7 years.
But this varies with the different types of systems and number of people using them.
These systems have more working parts than your standard 2 tank and leech drain system. They generally operate with at least 1 pump, usually 2, which aerate/blow and pump out waste water after it has been treated.
We here at Chittering Septics are familiar with most of these systems and regularly pump out the waste from them in the correct sequence require. This is important as an incorrect pumpout can damage or destroy your system completely. We have been cleaning these types of systems out for over 10 years.
